Welcome to GIFTSnet: A new online social community designed specifically for GIFTS!

Inside you'll find GIFTS Alumni, Interns, Mentors, Staff, and many "friends of GIFTS" looking to network or interact with other keen filmmakers! GIFTS NET is open to anyone with a passion for digital media and indie-filmmaking, regardless of whether you've been to GIFTS before. Simply click "sign-up" and join today!

Our hope is that GIFTS NET will become an essential online resource used to network with other like-minded filmmakers, seek technical advice, find crew and actors for you're next production, promote you're new work, sell used equipment online in our classifieds section, ask questions about upcoming GIFTS courses, and stay in touch with past students and staff.

GIFTS Crew Call: Sept 20th - Oct 9th - August 19, 2009

Crew Call for Sept 20th - Oct 9th Deadline to Apply: September 1st, 2009 GIFTS is now accepting applications from all alumni to fill 4 crew positions for an upcoming production being shot in the Gulf Islands from September 20 - October 9. Preference will be given to Adults who have graduated from GIFTS' intensive two-week or monthlong filmmaking programs, but all students with production experience are encouraged to apply. GIFTS will be used as the pre-production and post-production facility, and the production will be shot on location throughout the Southern Gulf Islands (Mayne, Pender, Saturna, Salt Spring, and Galiano). GIFTS will cover all expenses, including: accommodation, meals, transportation, equipment, etc. The 4 crew members will gain valuable production experience on a professional production and receive full credit to be used on their resume/cv, as well as the option to receive a letter of support from GIFTS for future work.
