Part of the secret of our success comes from our fabulous location in the Gulf Islands. Sequestered in the forest away from the distractions and bustle of the city, students are able to focus and learn quickly.
GIFTS is located on beautiful Galiano Island – just off of Canada’s west coast. The school is sited mid-island on five acres of coastal rainforest, a long walk from any urbanization, which provides an insulated social environment and complete immersion in the program.
GIFTS provides transportation to and from the school during all sessions, as well as all transportation needed during programs for location scouting or production/shooting.
GIFTS is conveniently located near three international airports (Vancouver & Victoria in Canada, and Seattle in the USA). From the airport, students need only get to the ferry terminal (by bus, limo or taxi), catch the ferry to Galiano Island, disembark at the Sturdies Bay ferry terminal at Galiano Island and we will pick them up & supply all transportation needed during their stay on the island.
The ferry terminal with ferries departing from Vancouver is called Tsawwassen and the terminal in Victoria is called Swartz Bay. Ferry schedules for both of these routes can be accessed here on the BC Ferries website. For most programs, students will come on the Sunday evening ferry and leave on the Saturday late afternoon ferry.
