Video Production
Working in production teams of 3, you will create a series of 30 second anti-smoking advertisements that incorporate elements of drama, documentary and/or experimental film. You will be involved in every part of the making of the piece from script writing and story boarding, to acting, directing, shooting, editing and sound design.
Animated Visual Effects
Using software like Adobe After Effects and Premier and digital effects that range from blurring and stretching to "Blue Screen" compositing, you will work with 5 other youth to produce two high impact anti-tobacco ads.

Selection Process:
All applicants will be notified of the results by email or phone no later than September 28th. Selection will be based on:

  • the applicant's investment, interest and/or understanding of the issue
  • the uniqueness/quality of the proposed video idea
  • the need for diversity among the students (in terms of geography, ethnicity, skill level and 'smoking status')
