Invent the Future

The Gulf Islands Film & Television School, in partnership with Go Beyond and BC Hydro, are proud to present the Invent the Future Contest: an online environmental initiative designed to bridge the gap between intent and action among B.C.’s student population interested in reducing energy use.

Do you have an original, innovative, energy conservation solution that you would like to share with others? It’s time to start getting paid for your ideas!

Upload your 30-60 second video or written submission to www.inventthefuture.ca before October 31, 2008. A grand prize of $2,500 will be awarded to one idea in the video category and one in the essay submission category. Plus, a runner up in each category will take home $1,000. An iPod Touch (16GB) will be awarded to the idea in each category with the most public votes. Viewers can win one of three iPod Nanos (4GB) simply by signing up to vote. Voting deadline is November 4, 2008.

Who Can Enter? Any B.C. resident at least 13 years of age and no older than 29 are eligible to enter. All ideas must be submitted by October 31, 2008 to be eligible to win.
