Be your own tv station! The web has created a whole new distribution channel for independent producers -- it's great for showing off, making a statement, or just getting it out there quickly. It's international distribution, and it’s cheap.

We've learned a thing or two in the 4 years that we've been streaming most of our over 500 videos, and now we want to pass those crucial new media skills along.

Students will co-produce a video which they will then prepare for the web and post for viewing.

Here's a partial list of the topics we'll cover:

  • media literacy and the internet
  • video pre-production, including script and storyboarding
  • HTML programming
  • graphics for the Web
  • shooting and editing video for the Web
  • streaming methods and strategies
  • codecs
  • software and hardware options

Prerequisite
Basic computer skills (PC or Mac) required.

Age Groups
Youth (14-19) | Adult (19+) | Youth/Adult
