Sring Break & Summer 2005 ScholarShips

Gulf Islands Film & Television School is celebrating our 10th year in 2005 with a major scholarship award program. During every week-long session, 19 in all, we are awarding four scholarships worth half tuition costs ($340 each). That is a whopping 76 scholarships!

Concept

Each Award honours one of 21 individuals that have made a significant contribution to the establishment of G.I.F.T.S. Each group of 4 scholarship winners will form a team and produce a video/film/animation that includes the theme of the Award - i.e. environmental, cinematography, etc. These content/focus influenced productions will further support G.I.F.T.S.' mission to facilitate media producers creating stories that matter-artistically and politically.

Eligibility

Minimum age 12- no maximum. Choose an Award whose theme you care about during a week that caters to your age group (teen-Y, adult-A, early-teen-E).

The deadline is 3 weeks prior to each session date. The first deadline is March 1, 2005 for the March 20 session & the last, September 15 for Novembre 2. You will be notified 1 week before the session starts.
