Coral Tilton

Dorothy is an indigenous woman of the Okanagan-Shuswap Nations. She has been producing, directing & writing for television for 8 seasons. And now she's in a professional development phase. What does that mean? Dorothy is learning as much as she can about the latest digital technology and how that applies to her creative works. She has been very gracious in allowing me to benefit from the knowledge she has aqcuired in the many incarnations she's had in her own life. She has been such a big part of my extremely positive experience here at G.I.F.T.S., and has inspired me to delve into my own family history and take notice of all that goes on around me, and behind the curtain. She wishes to thank W, The Women's Network for their support.

Hello fellow & future weblings! I 've always been drawn to, and supported creative people, but have only just recently started exploring my own artistic nature. While living in Vancouver, I was a bike courier and got to work with the most wonderful, ecclectic, thought provoking people it has ever been my priviledge to call my friends. An idiot in an S.U.V. that payed more attention to his cell phone than the road ended that incarnation of my life. I've since moved back to my nest in Victoria and will be attending the Canadian College's Multimedia & Filmmaking program in the fall. Up until about a month and a half ago, I was a complete computer chimp! To my amazement my mentors Wreford & Terra, have managed to get me to this point. Apparently, frustration is NOT in their vocabulary. The Techs & Interns here at G.I.F.T.S. were great whenever I got a mental flat. Here I've found like minded people, an inspirational atmosphere, and tasty food. So come one come all, and find peace and enlightenment down here in the nerdhole! I want to thank my Mom & Dad for all their encouragement, unconditional love, and for making it possible for me to come to this wonderful place...xoxoxo...
P.S. Love nothing / Hate nothing ...but Hate itself. And to all thoughs bitter hearts that think I'm being too sappy, come here and see how this place affects YOU!

Coral has come up to Galiano Island from Washington State with her daughter, Britt. Britt has been credited for having found the G.I.F.T.S. program that has brought them a deepened appreciation for each other as artists, a relationship beyond that of mother / daughter. Coral has always had an interest in film, but did not wish to move to L.A. to pursue that interest. In the past it was unattainable; with modern technology, this is no longer the case. She can do it all on her own. Coral has found she is only limited by her own imagination. She has always considered herself an artist, and she feels this is a natural progression from mediums such as painting or photography. Coral is in the process of recreating her life, and releasing a part of herself that has been on hold. She has also constantly challenged me not to give up on myself throughout this program. She wants to thank her husband for encouraging her to make the journey.
