Mentorships

GIFTS boasts an incredible faculty of award-winning filmmakers, media educators, and digital media experts. Are you ready to join the GIFTS family?

We are always looking for passionate people who are experts at their craft to join our faculty. From animators to screenwriters, editors to web designers, if digital media and/or filmmaking is your trade, then chances are you will fit right in.

Teaching at GIFTS can be an incredibly inspiring and rewarding experience. Our mentors are the foundation behind the “magic” at GIFTS; they bring with them their own unique talents and personally shape the experience of each of our students.

Typically, our teaching positions are filled in short one or two week contracts on a per session basis. GIFTS’ mentors are expected to live at the school for the duration of their contract and are provided with room and board at no charge, in addition to their remuneration.

“At GIFTS, our primary function is to provide students with an opportunity to create works of art that speak about their world. We know that given access to increasingly accessible technology and respectful guidance to the formal world of short film, video and animation, new filmmakers are fully capable of producing thought-provoking, stylish works of art, encompassing a wide spectrum of genres and mind-bogglingly diverse content.”- Marcus Youssef, GIFTS Mentor.
