“Mein Kampf”
For my post for this month, I will bring to you the attention of a German film. One which is both compelling yet unsettling: “Mein Kampf“. Based on the play by a man named George Tabori, it tells the story of a young Adolf Hitler arriving at Vienna, Austria in the hopes of becoming a painter, but the span of his stay his stay at a hostel will ultimately mold him into the fascist dictator which history knows him to be. (Please note, I am not condoning antisemitism or any fascist ideologies. Only the film which in my opinion brings awareness to the sort of evil which existed some time ago.)
